THE BAND

WHO ARE THESE GUYS?

Professional Help is a four-piece Canadian rock band formed in New Westminster, British Columbia by Kevin Rosmer, Simon Revrek, Mike Servorn, and Orsen Vikrem.

Their music combines pop rock with elements of alternative rock, indie rock and atmospheric rock, with arrangements frequently built around piano, delayed guitars, synths and layered ambient textures. Strong melody, traditional songcraft and vast reverb remain central to the band’s sound, while individual recordings range from restrained and atmospheric to larger, guitar-driven rock arrangements.

Professional Help draws from the melody and atmosphere of early Coldplay; the expansive, delay-soaked guitars and philosophical lyricism of U2; and the melancholy, humanity and atmospheric pop-rock of The Verve. Other influences include the whimsical nature of The Beatles, the energetic spirit of The Who, and the DIY attitude of The Ramones — particularly their determination to make something great with limited resources.
